Yogurt Parfait: Simple, Healthy, and Delicious
Eric Howey
A yogurt parfait is the perfect combination of creamy, crunchy, and sweet. This versatile treat can be enjoyed as a nutritious breakfast, an energizing snack, or a light dessert. Layers of creamy yogurt, crunchy granola, and fresh fruit come together for a treat that’s as visually appealing as it is delicious.
What makes yogurt parfaits truly special is their customizability—mix and match fruits, granola, and even toppings like nuts or honey to suit your taste. Assemble them in glasses or jars for an elegant presentation, or pack them in a to-go container for busy mornings.
Yogurt Parfait Recipe
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
- 2 cups plain or vanilla yogurt (Greek or regular)
- 1 cup granola (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup fresh fruit (e.g., berries, diced mango, or sliced banana)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts, seeds, coconut flakes
Instructions:
- Layer the Ingredients: In a glass or jar, spoon ⅓ cup of yogurt into the bottom. Add a layer of granola (about ¼ cup) and a layer of fruit (about ¼ cup). Repeat the layers until the container is full.
- Add Sweetener (Optional): Drizzle a little honey or maple syrup over the top if desired.
- Top & Serve: Finish with additional toppings like nuts, seeds, or coconut flakes for extra crunch and flavor.
Serve immediately for maximum crunch, or prepare in advance by keeping the granola in a separate container to add just before eating. Yogurt parfaits are a quick and wholesome way to satisfy your cravings!
